The name changed

The game was announced, trailered and wishlisted as Nivalis. The shipped title is Nivalis Nights. Trailers, news articles and wishlist entries from before 29 September 2026 still use the short name, which is why a search for "Nivalis wiki" lands on pages written before the rename.

ION LANDS made Cloudpunk, and this is set in the city of Nivalis. The connection explains the audience and the setting; it is not a sequel, and the two are separate products.

Where these numbers come from

The Steam store page is the authority. This page reads it through the public appdetails API (npm run sync-store) and prints the date it read it, so a stale figure is visible rather than plausible.

Player reports come from a separate mirror of 1,120 Steam reviews, fetched 0 days ago. That is a different kind of source and this site never mixes the two without labelling them.
