Week One: 1,096 Reviews and One Very Loud Problem
The baseline every future update on this wiki will be measured against: sentiment, the performance complaint rate, and the language split.
Nivalis Nights released on 29 September 2026. This post records the state of the review corpus on 30 September, so that every subsequent post on this site has something concrete to compare against.
The numbers below are a frozen snapshot taken at that date, not live figures. The reviews page always shows the current corpus; this post is the anchor it gets compared against. That is the point of it — a patch's effect is only visible as a delta, and a delta needs a fixed baseline.

The language split

Two things stand out.
Simplified Chinese is the largest non-English audience and by far the most unhappy — 47.6% positive against a 73% global average. That is not a rounding error; it is a different reception. It also happens to be the audience least served by the existing English-language guide sites.
Spanish is small. Fourteen reviews in Spain, four across the rest of Latin America. We publish Spanish interface chrome because the audience is real, but the case for a fully translated Spanish site is not yet made by the data. It will be re-checked weekly.
What we are watching
- Whether a patch addresses the frame rate. The single clearest signal will be the performance mention rate falling in the weekly fetch.
- Whether the Chinese sentiment gap narrows. A 47.6% positive rate on 103 reviews is a real signal, not noise.
- Whether frame generation ever appears. It is the most-requested missing feature in the corpus and the fastest thing on this list to go stale.
Method
Reviews come from Valve's public review feed for app 1488490, are mirrored into this repository, and are never summarised by a language model. Sentiment counts Steam's own recommendation flag. Performance and bug mentions are matched with a multilingual pattern set — an English-only filter would have missed every Russian, Portuguese and Chinese performance complaint in the corpus, which is most of the signal.
